The Mediator

Dana A. Yealy has over three decades of experience resolving business disputes.   He served over 35 years as the Chief Legal Officer for a $100 billion financial institution headquartered in Pittsburgh. 

Mr. Yealy is also the owner of both the Kingston Coal Company and Kingston Gas LLC where he serves as the primary leasing agent for both companies.  He has negotiated over $100 million in leasehold interests over the past 25 years.  He has represented both gas companies/coal operators (Lessees) as well as land/mineral owners (Lessors) in the leasing process.  In these roles Mr. Yealy has gained extensive experience in resolving disputes involving all forms of energy leases and contracts.

Mr. Yealy was trained in mediation at the renowned Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine School of Law in Malibu, CA.  He is an active member of the Mediation Council of Western Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Council of Mediators.

Mr. Yealy graduated from Westminster College in 1984 with a B.A. degree in economics.  He earned his law degree (J.D.) from the Dickinson School of Law in 1984 and his masters of laws degree (LL.M.) from the Boston University School of Law in 1985.
